This post is going to give you an overview of the champion league event in the game. Here’s a video that I made on this topic before:
The champion league event is open for a week. Promotion matches happen from Monday to Friday & on Saturday we have the finals. On Sunday, players can spectate the matches that happened on Saturday.
There are 5 divisions in the event R1 to R5. All players will be in division R1 initially. At the end of the day, 50% of the top players get promoted to the next division. However, on Thursday, the top 32 players in the R5 division get selected for the elimination matches.
You get 3 attack chances daily & for every attack you’re matched up randomly with anyone within your division whom you’re supposed to attack within 3 minutes. So, you can decide whether you want to use buffs or not within this time based upon your opponents power. You can score a maximum of 20 points for every victory. The points that you get depends upon the power you lose in battle. Losing a lot of power will get you less points. For every loss you get only 1 point.
On Saturday, the top 32 players get to compete against each other in the elimination matches. There are a total or 5 rounds that take place on Saturday. Players are allowed to bet only in rounds 3, 4 & 5 of the elimination matches (i.e. The quarter finals, semi finals and the finals). Players can bet vote tickets on the player that they think is winning in addition to vote tickets, they can also bet gold if they run out of vote tickets. Each bet costs 20% of the amount bet and the winners of the bet get all the gold that was bet on the opponent which is split among them in the ratio of their bets. I think that the 20% cost will be removed from the next champion league event as it was refunded back to the players this time.
Finally on Sunday, all players get to spectate the matches that happened on Saturday as no one is allowed to spectate the matches on Saturday (not even the players who are battling against each other.). It still isn’t clear how the troops are selected as it was seen that in some matches players had a lot of troops and in some other matches, the same players had very few troops.
