In this post, I’m gonna be explaining how the Arms Cache Phase of the Gold Rush Event works & also how you can unlock renegades for the event. You can either watch this video or continue reading this post:
The Arms Cache Phase lasts for 2 days, and again, seems very similar to the 2nd Phase of the Diabolic Expedition Plan of the Infamous Event. Players are required to train troops to get points & rewards. You get a different amount of points based on the tier of troops you train.
Again, there are personal & city rankings & rewards which are quite similar to the old event.
Once you manage to score 200,000 points, you get 150 renegade fragments which is half of what you need to unlock a new renegade.
So, that’s how the Arms Cache Phase Works.
We also got a chance to see 5 of the Renegades. However, most of their skill descriptions were written in chinese, so I couldn’t really tell what they do. There was only 1 skill that was explained in English & that is the Overlord Aura skill of Celeste. This sill will apply a Mark of Silence to the Enemy Renegade for 1 Round which will prevent them from using skills that round.
The Renegades look very similar to vigilantes. Just like vigilantes, they have a star level, experience level, stamina & attributes. However, in case of renegades, you can customize their attributes a little bit unlike vigilantes who’s attributes are fixed.
You need 300 fragments to unlock a renegade, so I’m assuming that their upgrade costs are going to be the same as vigilantes.
You’ll be able to use these Renegades to lead your crime ops, just like you use vigilantes in normal battles. Once you upgrade a renegades star level, you’ll get 10 freely assignable attribute points.
Also, in order to upgrade their active skills, you won’t need any fragments, but instead it’ll cost you Renegade Skill Exp Items. These items will be different from the Renegade Level Exp Items that you need to upgrade your Renegade’s Level.
