Join a Family Event – Mafia City

In this post I’m gonna be talking about the Family Joining Event. You can either watch this video or continue reading this post:

Join a family event – Mafia City

There are now 4 different families in the game. There’s the Yakuza family that buffs your bulkers & debuffs enemy shooters, the Cosa Nostra family that buffs your Bikers & debuffs enemy vehicles. There’s the Geondal family that buffs your shooters & debuffs enemy bikers & finally the Bratva family that buffs your vehicles & debuffs enemy bulkers.

I’m not sure which family is the best, but the reason why I selected the Geondal family is because I like Bikers the most followed by bulkers, shooters & vehicles & since I couldn’t find a family that gives Bulker & Biker buffs, I had to go for the second best option which is Bikers & Shooters. Obviously, that’s just my opinion & it may not necessarily be the best family to select.

But the good news is that you don’t need to worry about the family you select as it can be changed anytime you want with the family contract item & you don’t lose any of the buffs that you gain from the family businesses & the family reputation level when doing so. (Note: You will lose the family reputation buffs that you get from the old family & get the reputation buffs from the new family. However, you the reputation level will stay intact, meaning, when you switch back to the old family, you’ll continue from the same old reputation level that you left off at & will get back the reputation level buffs of that family.)

Each family has a unique Reputation level & business. The reputation level gives you certain passive buffs & can be increased by gaining more reputation. You can gain reputation by attacking street forces & mercenaries, killing enemy troops & also by finishing daily contracts & attacking gunmen. If you get a family’s reputation level to Neutral+4, you’ll be able to purchase vigilante fragments of that family’s special vigilante from the Family Point shop & if you get to level Friendly+1, you get to purchase Babe fragments of the family’s special Babe.

Then there are the family business that are just like investments & hitman services. You can only invest in businesses any family provided you meet their reputation requirements. You don’t need to be a part of any specific family to invest. However, you need a special resource called Family Gold to do so. Currently, you can only get Family Gold from the slammer & the family point store & obviously also from packs. These family businesses will allow you to unlock T11 troops & also their special skills. The Yakuza family business allows you to unlock T11 bulkers, the Cosa Nostra family business allow you to unlock T11 bikers, the Geondal Family business allows you to unlock T11 shooters & the Bratva Family business allows you to unlock T11 vehicles. I’ll be making a post about T11 troops later since nobody has unlocked those troops yet so there’s no information about their Training Cost.

  1. Hello Flavio – This is my 1st post but I want to say Thank you. I have learned so much from reading all of your posts. Your the BEST !!!. Quick question – I started in the Cosa Nostra Family and I have the buffs for Friendly +1 (ie Biker Att 4.5% Crew Defense 9% etc). I got the Vig and Babe so I want to change to Yakuza. So my question is when I change to Yakuza are you sure I will keep the Cosa Nostra Friendly +1 (ie Biker Att 4.5% Crew Defense 9% etc) buffs . I think I read above you said yes ut another site says no when I googled. Thank you in advance for your answer. Loosh

      1. You keep the friendly + 1 reputation level when you switch. However, you won’t get the buffs unless you switch back to cosa nostra. You’ll get buffs based on the reputation level of the new family you’ve selected.
Added a note in the post to make it more clear. Thanks for commenting.

  2. So Family Investments are stackable? For example, if I belong to the Yakuza but I also invest in Family buffs of Geondal using Family Gold, I am able to utilize those buffs invested without belonging to that family? Or would I have to change families in order to utilize those other family’s invested buffs?
