In this post, I want to show you an interesting battle report that I came across recently which highlights a very strange battle mechanic that exists in the game. You can either watch this video or continue reading this post:
Before I get to the report that I want to show you guys, I want to first explain how the battle algorithm normally works i.e. How the game decides who wins or loses a battle.
There are 2 main conditions that need to be satisfied in order to win a battle.
Condition number 1 is that you need to have at least 1 unharmed troop at the end of the battle in order to win it. If you do not have any unharmed troops at the end, the battle will result in a loss for you. The same applies to your opponent, if your opponent does not have any troops left at the end of the battle, then they will lose the battle.
If both sides have at least one unharmed troop at the end of the battle, then the outcome is based on condition 2. Condition 2 is where the power loss is compared, the side that loses the least power wins the battle. The outcome is based purely on power loss and nothing else. Kill count, stats, etc. are completely irrelevant.
So, to recap, in order to win a battle, you need at least a few of your troops to survive the battle & then, you also need to lose less power than your opponent.
Now, here’s the report that I’m talking about
I’m on the Right Side & was reinforced by a clanmate, I had no troops of mine inside my turf, only my clanmate had his troops in & as you can see, both me & my opponent had a few troops left in this report which means we both satisfied condition 1.
This means that condition number 2 needed to be tested in order to decide who the winner was going to be. However, as you can clearly see I lost less power than my opponent, but still ended up losing the battle for some reason.
On asking GM about it, they told me there’s some kind of mechanism in the game that’s in place to prevent low level mansions from getting wiped out by higher level mansions. This mechanism causes the battle to end in advance so the lower level mansions don’t lose all of their troops. So, even if the power loss is in favor of the lower level mansion, it’ll be considered as a loss if the protection mechanism is triggered.
And as usual, when asked to explains how this mechanism works in detail, they have absolutely no clue about it.
So, that’s pretty much all I wanted to show you guys in this post. Let me know what you guys think in the comments down below. Also, let me know if you’ve seen any similar reports where this protection mechanism was triggered in the game.
Before I end this post I’d like to thank all my patrons for the support:

So, that’s all I have for you guys in this post. I hope you guys found it helpful.
Flavio, Amazing information about the game. Also not sure if this is the correct place to post this question, but it does relate.
When attacking a turf, Vechs gets a bonus for it. Also, there are NO defense weapons (that I have found) for vechs. So with the extra range of the vech, one could think that they would be able to take out everything at a distance. Since Bikers and shooters have a range from 1-8 and Vechs 10. With all of that being said, would it be of benefit to using just two sets of Vechs for a turf attack? Again this is just for attacking turfs. nothing else.
Thanks for your input on this. Been trying to wrap my brain around this for some time now.
Flavio, if I still have the report I would love to share. I would have to look,
However my opponent lost 300,000 and I only lost like 87,000 but because I had nothing in my mansion was considered a defeat.
Which surprised me very much when you put the game down for a year and then return to it later to see this kind of thing happened. Now my clan mates seemed to be very perticular about the knowledge before I was.
Either way if I can find the report I would love to share it.
I have cities everywhere but it was in city 1160. Hammer Samurai is the name, in the strongest clan ABK.
Take it easy
If you have lose all your troops, then the power difference doesn’t matter as I explained in the post. That’s normal. If some of your troops survive, then it’s a different story.
