So, one thing that I’ve seen a lot of people do is they’ve been giving a lot of roses to candidates that don’t need them. Now, this wouldn’t be a bad strategy if the popularity points were carried on to the next stage. However, since the rules clearly state that the popularity points will reset at the end of every stage, it doesn’t make any sense to give your roses to candidates that are gonna finish in the top 10. It’s better to just save them for future rounds otherwise it’ll be very difficult to compete against cities that have been hoarding their roses for those rounds.
Also, another small tip for the non-spenders out there. Please do no waste gold on roses. It’s 350 gold for 1 rose that just gives you one point. The roses are way too expensive & I don’t think it’s worth spending so much of gold for them. However, you can get upto 30 roses daily just by getting 420 daily task points every single day. 30 roses are worth more than 10,000 gold so you should definitely finish all your daily tasks at least during this event. You’d also want to save your roses for future pageant events because this is only season 1. I think there will be more events like this in the future & if you’re allowed to use your season 1 roses in those events, you might be able to get better rewards from the event by doing so.
For spenders, It’s definitely much better to buy pageant packs instead of spending gold on roses because each $100 pageant pack gives you 2 bazookas & 1000 roses which would otherwise cost a total of 420,000 gold if you got them directly from the pageant shop.
