In this post, I’m gonna explain how the New Formations Feature works in Warpath. I think this post might be helpful for the players who didn’t get it, since I had a hard time myself trying to figure out how it exactly works. You can either watch this video or continue reading this post:
The Formation feature is basically a feature that allows you to select multiple units with just one tap without having to go through all the regular steps of selecting them. If you’re not sure how to select multiple units, then I’ll you can find that here.
So, here’s how you set formations.
First you click on the army button that can be found towards the bottom right of your screen & then you click on the Formations Button which you’ll again be able to find at the bottom right of your screen
Then you simply select the units you want to select at the same time. You can make upto 2 formations currently in the game. However, each unit you have can only be used in 1 formation at a time.
Once you’re done selecting the units, you hit the complete button & then exit the Army Tab. Once you do this, you’ll notice orange or blue lines below your units depending on how many formations you’ve selected.
Now, in order to select the formation you’ve just set, you simply tap on any unit at the bottom of the screen that’s has either a blue or orange colored line below it & the game will automatically select all units that have the same colored line under them.
Keep in mind that if you try selecting the same unit on the map, it’ll only select one unit & not the whole formation.
You can also control units individually using the tab at the bottom by dragging them instead of tapping on them to avoid selecting the entire formation. You can also drag units on the map to control them individually.
So, that is pretty much how you use the new formations feature in the game.
