In this post, I’m going to be explaining how the Matsuri Garapon Event works. You can either watch this video or continue reading this post:
The Matsuri Garapon event is a 14 long day event. It’s somewhat similar to those 28 day treasure events that we used to have in the past.
The goal of this event is to level up your Cards to get rewards. There’s a common card that everyone in the game gets which can be levelled up to get regular rewards. Players can also buy a goodie card or a souvenir card to get bonus rewards.
The Goodie Card costs $10 & gives you 20% more experience while the souvenir card costs $20 and gives you 50% more experience along with 5 gift levels i.e. 500 experience.
The Card can be levelled up all the way upto level 40 either by gaining experience from the daily tasks & challenges or by buying levels for 5000 gold per level.
Every day you can get upto 180 experience points with just the common card. 70 points from daily tasks & 110 points from the event challenges.
So, in total, you can get upto level 25 just from doing all the daily tasks if you don’t buy any of the cards.
If you buy the $10 card, you’ll be able to get upto level 30 & if you buy the $20 card, you’ll be able to make it to level 40 since it gives you 5 free levels at the start.
In my opinion it’s definitely worth buying the $10 pack if you’re sure that you’re not going to miss a single challenge during the 14 day period. You’ll be able to unlock all the useful items doing so. However, if you wanna play safe, then I’d suggest going for the $20 pack so you can get all the useful items even if you miss a few tasks.
There are also Garapon Ticket Packs that you can buy to spin the Garapon Lottery which is somewhat similar to the treasure chests in the treasure event. You get a Grand Spin every 10th spin which will give you either a silver, gold or colorful bead. I don’t think it’s worth buying these packs though since most of the rewards are garbage.
The event also states that you’ll get enough beads to redeem a permanent Turf Decoration from this event. However, that is completely false since Brian from city 236 bought all the ticket packs & maxed out his cards but still didn’t get the permanent turf effect. So, please avoid spending on this event if you’re only doing it thinking you’ll get a turf skin.
