Mafia Pirate Expedition Event

In this post, I’m gonna be talking about the Pirate Expedition Event. You can either watch this video or continue reading this post:

The goal of this event is to collect as many rewards as you can from the map. To do this you can either use the free ship or you can use one of the paid ones which give you certain extra buffs.

In order to explore new areas on the map, you need to spend 1 Heavy Oil. However, if you move back to an already explored area, it won’t cost you anything. As you explore new areas may find some treasures, buffs & obstacles. The treasures that you find give you rewards based on the zone that you’re in.

For buffs, you may find a ship that gives you a demolition charge that allows you to demolish reefs on the map. You may also find binoculars which will allow you to uncover some area on the map.

& for obstacles, you may find Pirates who you’ll have to fight to get rewards, Reefs that you can destroy using Demolition Charges & cyclones that can teleport you to a random location on the map.

During your voyage, you may also find certain map pieces & relics. The map pieces can be used to unlock the Uncharted Zone which only consists of Mystic Chests while the relics can be used to obtain the Small Golden Anchor Collection for 90 days after you collect all 6 of them.

There are also 3 different packs that you can buy to upgrade your ship. Each ship has 2 buffs, one is stackable while the other isn’t.

The $5 ship doubles the rewards you obtain from defeating pirates on the map. The $10 ship allows you to reveal all surrounding tiles whenever you use a Binoculars instead of just 4 tiles & the $20 ship gives you a chance of not consuming Heavy Oil when traveling on an empty sector.

Those are all the buffs that are stackable, meaning they apply once you unlock a ship regardless of whether you use the ship or not. There are also unstackable buffs for each ship that trigger at the beginning of rounds. The purple ship give you 1 demolition charge everytime you enter a new zone, the orange ship gives you 1 binoculars while the golden one gives you 2 Heavy Oils. In my opinion, the golden ship is the best to use for it’s unstackable buff.

For this event, I’d recommend using your binoculars close to the center of the map so you can make the most out of them by revealing the most tiles.

It’s also good if you find mystic chests on each zone. However if you don’t that’s fine too, try to reach the next zone as soon as possible since the Mystic Chests in higher zones give better rewards.

There are also ranking rewards for this event & only the top 5 players in the global rankings will get the permanent Jade Rudder Collection Item that gives 3% Crew Attack.

I really don’t see the points in spending on the $100 Heavy Oil Packs for this event unless you plan on finishing top 5 globally for the Permanent Jade Rudder. However, I do think that the $5, $10 & $20 packs might be worth it, not only because of the extra buffs, but also because of the Heavy Oil.
