In this post, I’m gonna talking about the new 2020 Independence Day & I’ll also be explaining whether or not it’s possible to get the turf effect from this event without spending.
The objective of this event is basically to collect as many fireworks as possible so you can use them to get rewards. There are 3 ways of getting fireworks in this event. You can get some by raiding prison camps on the map. You can raid 50 of these per day & you get anywhere between 1 to 3 fireworks from each prison camp. On an average, you get around 2 per camp, so you should be able to get 100 fireworks from these raids daily. Then you can also, raid 10 Liberty Squares per day to get around 10 fireworks per raid. So, you can get another 100 from the these raids as well. You clan gets to spawn a Liberty Square for every 300 fireworks your members use. There’s no limit on the number of Liberty Squares a clan can spawn even though the event says so. However, there is an individual limit of 10 raids per day for these Liberty Squares.
& obviously you can also get more fireworks from packs.
You can use these fireworks at the event page to get experience. Everytime you use a firework, you get 10 experience. However, there’s a chance that your experience might get multiplied by 2, 3, 5 or even 10 if you’re lucky. From what I’ve observed, on an average you get 1.8 times the experience you’re supposed to get because of the multipliers. However, while using your fireworks, you wanna make sure that you use only one at a time so that the multipliers trigger on at least a few of them. If you use them all together, there is a chance that you might end up getting no multiplier at all after using all of your fireworks.
The event has 2 types of rewards for gaining experience. There are silver rewards that everyone can get once they reach the required levels & there are golden rewards as well for which you need to spend 6000 gold to unlock. However, you end up getting back 4000 gold by the time you reach level 15. So effectively, you’re only spending 2000 gold to unlock the golden rewards & I think it’s totally worth doing so.
If you manage to make it all the way upto level 25, you’ll get the permanent wings of liberty turf effect.
However, to get to level 25, you need at least 35,100 experience. Assuming you get a multiplier of 1.8 on an average for your fireworks, you’ll need a total of 1950 fireworks throughout the event to get to this level. Since it’s a 7 day event, you’ll need to get around 280 fireworks & score at least 5020 points per day to get the permanent turf effect.
Since you can only get around 200 fireworks on an average per day, you might have to buy the extra 80 fireworks daily which will cost $40 a day or $280 for the 7 days.
However, I still think it’s possible for some players to get extremely lucky with the multipliers & they might even end up unlocking the permanent turf without spending.
Apart from the Silver & Gold rewards, there are also individual & clan ranking rewards in this event.
The top global ranked player will get the permanent Guns Ops Trail Effect & the top Global Clan will get the permanent July 4th Clan Badge that gives the whole clan 2% more crew attack & also the permanent July 4th Chat Bubble & Avatar Frame. Also, the top clan in the city will get the permanent July 4th Name Tag.
