In this post, I’m going to be talking about the Mafia Derby Event which has been going on for a few days now. You can either watch this video or continue reading this post:
It’s basically a racing event where the R4s & R5s of clans gets to select a time for the race to happen. There are 5 timeslots in total, 4 am, 8 am, 12 pm, 4 pm & 8 pm city time.
Depending upon the time you select, your horse race will begin & you’ll get to use speed ups to decrease the remaining time by 0.5%. Initially your horse will take 1 hour to finish the race. However, with enough speed ups, the time can be reduced by a lot.
The rules state that your horse will spawn in one of the 4 corners of the city map & will head towards the city hall.
However, during the event, the horse always spawns on the left side of the grey area & runs towards the right side.
There are two different items that you can use during this event. There’s the Riding Crop that increases the speed of your clan’s horse when used & there’s the inflatable hammer that you can use to slow down the horses of other clans whenever they’re racing. You can get upto 20 of each per day, 5 each from the Black Market, another 5 from gathering resources, 5 more from attacking street forces & mercenaries & finally 5 more by spending gold. It costs 500 gold per item.
There are daily ranking rewards for this event which is based on the time taken by each clan to complete the race. The clan that finishes the race the fastest in the city will be ranked 1st & get 10 points. The other clans will get fewer points based on their rank. Once your clan reaches 45 points, all of your members will get the permanent derby chat bubble. You can also get Derby Decoration Coupons daily if your clan finishes in the top 5. The coupons can be used to redeem a permanent Derby Name Tag & Avatar Frame.
This is a fairly simple event & the only advice that I have to give is that you should try to get everyone from your clan to use their speed ups as soon as the race starts since speed ups have the most impact at the start of the race because they reduce a percentage of the remaining time. The higher the remaining time, the more effective the speed up is going to be.
Same applies to the inflatable hammers, you’d want to use inflatable hammers right at the start of your race to distract your opponents & slow them down the most because again, the effect of the inflatable hammers also depend upon the remaining time.
